ReplyDeleteI think your work is original and engaging, and hope to all hells you'll stop with the self-derogatory bullshit. You deserve much better, and virtually nobody reading this thinks anything bad about you. I own some of your published works (Demonbone Sarcophagus, Deep Carbon Observatory & Silent Titans in print, and trust me delivery to the middle east is not cheap) and have always thought it awesome and cool and mind-bending in the best of ways. Chin up mate, be proud of your efforts and try to respect yourself as much as we all respect you. And of course, thank you for coming up with great stuff.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome, if I could afford the shipping to Canada then I would definitely grab the physical copy (as I have with DCO and will for VOTE eventually lmao) but I'm glad that you're thinking of doing a pdf release now that the kickstarter has covered the base costs
ReplyDeleteIf I had the disposable cash on hand to pay for the book and the trans-Atlantic shipping costs I would be on it like a car bonnet, but as it is all I can say is best of luck and there's no need for self-deprecation, your book reviews are always incisive and highlights of my day.
ReplyDeleteIf it is any consolation, old chap, it is I, not you, that is the least successful of the OSR diaspora and I actually have a qualified for Mensa. (although I don't put much stock in it, I was dared to take the test and got a 4 point higher score than the one who set the challenge).
ReplyDeleteBro, I'm reading through Speak False Machine and you are a legend. Your family gifted you a laptop and you went "alright, guess I'll take this and achieve my professional and creative dreams"... and then literally did within a few years. You GM'd an epic sounding campaign for TEENS and stopped them from tearing the gaming group apart. That shit is insanely difficult, you should put it on your resume.
