I have done a couple of reviews, if you want them to mean anything not only do you have to read the whole thing, you have to understand it inside and out to make your case for/against it's quality. Which means doing a lot of thinking. Takes much more effort than to play it. 2) As a game designer it can be very difficult to express why a game works (i.e., "good"). However, if you play a bad game it becomes apparent in a few minutes exactly why it doesn't work. playing the bad one's helps you understand easier the why's of the good ones.
